Irgendwie sind hier glaube ich ein paar Comments über das Mastodon-Album verloren gegangen. Egal, ich finde, nach Anhören des Streams (mit netten Visuals übrigens) ist eine gewisse Vorfreude durchaus berechtigt:

ich hab mir erst 2 songs angehört vom neuen mastodon album, erwarte es demnächst bei mireintrudelnd - freu mich schon extrem drauf. heisser anwärter auf "record of the year".

ich hab mir am freitag ein paar mal die erste single anghört, weil sie auf am gratis sampler war und, naja, isch weisß nich...haut mich bis jetzt net so um. die rockigere ausrichtung find ich gar net so überl aber irgendwie is mir das zu new metal...
seit gestern mal die ganze daheim, werd ich wohl das we einer genaueren hörprobe unterziehen und bei gefallen wird eh das vinyl gekauft

"Over the Thanksgiving break, TOOL entered the studio with producer Joe Barresi to begin recording the group's new album. According to a posting on TOOL's official web site, the bandmembers are tracking all songs to tape — using a Studer A827 analog tape recorder — at their own home studio instead of going the digital route."

Das wäre zwar zu schön um wahr zu sein, stimmt nur leider nicht. Im Studio sind aktuell nur VOLTO!, die Nebenbaustelle vom Danny. Tool machen das, was sie meistens machen, nämlich nix.
