Statement concerning Catapult Promotion
Recently, Austrian booking agency Catapult Promotion announced that they were doing booking for EIS, and shortly afterwards posted statements that we were no longer collaborating due to "some differences". That has lead to some misunderstandings.
This is our version of the story:
Catapult planned to book a small tour for us in late March 2013, and tried to do so since October 2012 or even earlier. We agreed to cooperate for that tour only, and wanted to decide about a possible booking deal afterwards. Until that, we insisted to keep all booking duties with us. By Christmas, we didn't know about important details of that tour - no fixed venues, no financial information, no opening acts, no promotion at all. That didn't hinder Catapult from publishing that certain announcement of them being our booking agency, and from selling tickets for some dates of that not even existing tour. By early January, we had mainly been offered tour gig deals that were absolutely impossible to accept. Apart from eventually paying to play a tour, as it would've turned out in the end, we see no sense in playing a tour that is zero promoted 8 weeks before start.
So - sorry to all of you who were very much looking forward to see us touring, finally. Rest assured we'll be doing what we can to play as much as possible and everywhere it's possible.
Just to make that absolutely clear: Catapult Promotion have never been our booking agency and certainly won't be. We're still caring about our booking on our own, and... well... with that experience made, that seems to be a good decision.
