Founder of TSA.

In 1984 he participated in Zbigniew Hołdys project called I Ching. After leaving TSA in 1983, Nowak played with Martyna Jakubowicz and Tadeusz Nalepa. He returned to his band in 1987 but two years later TSA split-up.

Andrzej revived it in 1991 when he saw former members of this band playing as a "normal" TSA. For a time there were two bands using that name, but soon Andrzej and vocalist Marek Piekarczyk forced the former members to use the name TSA-Evolution. After releasing the new album, Andrzej and Marek left Poland, moved to United States and afer playing few shows the band split-up again.

In 1998 Andrzej Nowak and Marek Piekarczyk returned to Poland with new TSA line-up. Soon he was accused by Stefan Machel, Janusz Niekrasz and Marek Kapłon of illegally using the band's name. The result was yet again split-up and an agreement that from now on the only TSA line-up should be Nowak, Piekarczyk, Machel, Niekrasz and Kapłon. TSA's classic line-up officcially re-united in 2001.

In 2002 he founded hard rock/heavy metal band called Złe Psy.
