In 2008, the elusive Dragged Into Sunlight signed with cult label Mordgrimm records, responsible for acts such as Anaal Nathrakh, Covenant and Dies Ater, and founded by the creator of Uk label Cacophonous records.
Having previously worked with Mike Pilat (The Ocean) and Jeff Wagner (The Red Chord), the band worked with legendary producer Billy Anderson (Eyehategod and Neurosis), as well as artists Justin Bartlett (Sunn, Gorgoroth), Mike Diana (Iron Monkey, Autopsy) and Glyn Scrawled (Mayhem, Unearthly Trance) on their debut album “Hatred for Mankind” released in 2009.
Having signed a worldwide deal with Prosthetic Records, the label responsible for acts such as Kylesa, Ov Hell and Skeletonwitch as well as appearing alongside acts such as Ramesses, Eyehategod, Lazarus Blackstar, Akercocke, Repulsion, Origin and Vader, Dragged Into Sunlight are set to continue destroying stages in 2010.
Dragged Into Sunlight are currently endorsed by Matamp, the unique brand of amplifier behind artists such as Sleep. Terminally slow and loud as fuck.
