"WORK THE NEW ALBUM IS FINALLY FINISHED!!! It will be released by Candlelight in a few months’ time (exact timing TBC soon).
This is our first album as a four piece following the departure of Anto in 2011. It was recorded at Foel Studios in Wales, produced by Chris Fielding (Winterfylleth, Electric Wizard, Mourning Beloveth) and mastered by Jaime Gomez Arellano (Ghost, Angel Witch, Primordial). It contains eight tracks in total and continues the conceptual themes of our previous albums.
We are of course really proud of how it has turned out. It took a lot longer than expected but we feel it’s a further evolution in terms of the overall song writing and the Mael Mórdha sound. It’s also a little bit darker and takes us into some interesting new areas. There is a bleakness to it in places but also some crushing heaviness, galloping riffs and the emotive melodies we know you all like.
As some of you are aware we’ve already played a couple of the tracks live and they’ve gone down really well, so we can’t wait for the rest of you to hear it! Stay tuned for more news in the weeks ahead. The countdown has begun!"
