ENTOMBED just finished recording and mixing their 10th album called "Back To The Front" at Studio Bohus (Abba, Europe) in Kun?, Sweden with producer Roberto Laghi (In Flames, Hardcore Superstar). The cover artwork of the new album was painted by Zbigniew Bielak (Watain, Vader, etc.). "Back To The Front" will be released worldwide through Century Media Records on October 28th in Europe and October 29th in North America. Don't be afraid that it will sound like Abba - it's 666% true to the ENTOMBED everybody loves. While not falling for total regression back to the early classics "Left Hand Path" or "Clandestine", expect a total bone-crushing opus that will have fans of "Wolverine Blues", "To Ride,..." or "Morning Star" cry tears of joy. From the morbid, pissed-off lyrics over detuned, massive riffs to the inimitable brick-heavy groove and L-G Petrov's titanic roar, "Back To The Front" has it all, so get ready for a stone cold stunner!

somit ist sänger LG der einzig verbleibende der gründungsmitglieder und sogar des "inferno" line-ups...für konzerte ok, aber wer soll in zukunft die songs schreiben, damit es noch immer den namen Entombed tragen darf. reunion im original line-up bitte!
album wurde soeben wegen "technischer probleme" auf nächstes jahr verschoben.

Original ENTOMBED Members HELLID, CEDERLUND, ANDERSSON To Reunite For 'Clandestine' Performance
Original ENTOMBED members Alex Hellid (guitar), Ulf "Uffe" Cederlund (guitar) and Nicke Andersson (drums) will rejoin forces to perform the band's classic second album, "Clandestine" (1991), on February 1, 2014 at Gävle Konserthus in Gävle, Sweden. They will be backed by the 65-piece Gävle Symphonic Orchestra and a 40-piece choir.
Says Alex: "We will be performing 'Clandestine' as arranged by Thomas Von Wachenfeldt and it will be the first time in 17 years that me, Uffe and Nicke play together again as ENTOMBED.
"We are all very excited to start working on this project and look forward to see where it'll take us!"
ENTOMBED previously performed "Clandestine" in its entirety with the Nordic Chamber Orchestra on April 12, 2013 at Tonhallen in Sundsvall, Sweden. A recording of the song "Blessed Be" from that show can be streamed using the audio player below.
Hellid did not participate in the writing and recording of "Back To The Front"
the recently completed album by a completely different band calling itself ENTOMBED, featuring vocalist — and sole original member — Lars Göran Petrov alongside Olle Dahlstedt (drums), Nico Elgstrand (guitar) and Victor Brandt (bass).
Asked in a recent interview with France's MetalChroniques.fr if the omission of Hellid's name from the ENTOMBED biography accompanying a promotional copy of "Back To The Front" was a mistake on the record label's part, Petrov replied: "I do not want to speak publicly about this at the moment; this is something we want to keep internal and private for now. But this is not an error in the biography. Next question?"
Century Media Records announced earlier in the week that the release date of "Back To The Front" was being pushed back to early 2014 from the previously announced October 29 due to "unpredictable technical problems."
Hellid did not accompany the Petrov-fronted lineup of ENTOMBED when the band performed at the Manizales Grita Rock festival in Colombia last month.
In Gävle hats mir getaugt damals... aber ob Clandestine wirklich so gut ist kompositorisch, dass mans mit einem Orchester aufführen muss? etwas leiden sie schon unter Größenwahn bestimmte Musiker...

"clandestine" ist die beste metal platte ever, meiner meinung nach, jede sekunde ist da perfekt! nur hört man bei dem symphoniezeugs gar nix mehr von der band...
schön, dass sich alex, uffe und nicke wieder zusammentun, aber bitte nicht so...clandestine pur live, das wär geil!
und dann gibts noch LG's Entombed oder LG & friends, oder was auch immer. da gibts sicher noch einen rechtsstreit (wie bei queensryche oder the church of Entombed wie bei pungent). ich denke, dass das auch der grund ist warum die platte verschoben wurde. chaos!

sowas muss man wohl live sehen...
um es beurteilen zu können. ich glaub aber, die kompositionen geben zu wenig her für ein Orchester... auch wenn es eine geile Death Metal Scheibe ist.
Mehr hätte mir da aber sowieso ein reines Orchesterwerk getaugt...
Band plus Orchester ist bislang selten gut gegangen, am besten gings bei Waltaris Yeah Yeah Die Die -Sinfonie

am besten wär, lg steigt auch noch aus, schließt sich den anderen an und man macht unter altem namen wieder geile scheiben!!

Der Entombed-Song: Ja, das is halt kein wirklicher Death Metal. Das is dieser schlecht produzierte Schweine-Bluesrock, völlig langweilig am Anfang. Dann, wenn er schnell wird, wird er besser. Früher hat man dazu gesagt: Proberaum-Like. Heute findet mans cool...
Metal ist das keiner... Entombed hatten am Anfang ja wirklich Death Metal gemacht, sie waren eine Metalband, danach sind sie leider irgendwann zur Alternative-Band verkommen
Gleich danach gibt's mit Broken Hope, Grave und Evocation richtigen Death Metal...

hmm...das hört sich ziemlich nach der schwachen "serpent saints" an. simpel und schlecht produziert.
mit "left hand path" und "clandestine" haben sie perfekte death metal platten gemacht. da gabs nix mehr besser zu machen. darum war es cool dass sie in eine andere richtung gingen und das sehr überzeugend! "wolverine blues", "to ride.." und "same difference" fand ich super gemacht. dann wurden sie schwächer meiner meinung nach, es waren aber immer wieder coole sachen dabei, auch wenn sie sich teilweise selbst kopiert haben. und dann "when in sodom" und "serpent saints"...naja...und jetzt noch der ausstieg von Alex Hellid. das heisst die neue platte hat niemand von der originalband geschrieben.

ja ich fand das auch noch gut danach. mittlerweile langweilts mich etwas...
das war mein meistgehörter Entombed-Song. Ich hatte diese EP, leider ist sie bei einer Party vor über 10 Jahren gebrochen...
