Solstice hat geschrieben:Friends and comrades,
On this Winter Solstice, 2014, we are happy to update you all on our current activities. As the more sober amongst you may have noticed, we have just completed the first of our next records pre-production demos featuring two brand new songs. The results were of course, more than satisfying, but as this is only a pre-production demo, by the time we get into the studio in 2015 the songs will no doubt have mutated slightly in all manner of wonderful ways, as they do.
We recorded the title track, "WHITE HORSE HILL" and a radically different song, "FOR ALL DAYS, AND FOR NONE". The reason why the latter is not online, is that we want to be able to offer some surprises when the physical record is actually released in 2015.
So, for today at least, we are happy to air the title track and unveil the next records artwork (Once again created by the incredible Chris Smith of Grey Aria studios - Thankyou Chris!).
Naturally, the main question that everyone will be wanting answering, is when will the finished record be released, our reply would be, "When it's completed!". Our schedule is to honour our live commitments for the first third of 2015, record a second pre-production demo in April of more new songs, a few more gigs, and then the recordings of the full six track mini LP in the Summer. Barely any time at all. Naturally, things could change, and we'll only update news about this when we have something of real interest to say, rather than that we've been voted number 54 in an online poll of the 54 most popular bands who wear leather jackets, or something equally as ludicrous.
For now though, you can either listen to the song on our Bandcamp page in high quality, and purchase a download of it if you so please (It will only be available until we commence the final recordings), or listen to it in slightly lower quality on our youtube channel
Thankyou for your continued support.

And so it comes down to it again, that the cocksucker at CANDLELIGHT Records, Edward Christie (Also owner of Abstract Sounds) is back up to his old tricks of bootlegging and stealing from bands.
To reiterate once more :
1) The rights to "Lamentations" are owned by Solstice/White Horse Records. As we paid for the recording and artwork originally in 1994, and over a period of how many years Candlelight never ONCE sent us a sales statement or single royalty, despite pressing it four time
2) He was warned before to cease and desist in 1998 when we signed with Misanthropy.
It would seem that Wouter of COSMIC KEY CREATIONS has been duped into believing that he was licensing legitimately an album by people who have a past and current reputation for this criminal behaviour. As members of the PRS in the UK, we have contacted them with regards to this matter.
As for Wouter, having spoke with him on the phone this morning, he seems genuinely upset that what was to be the first release has turned out to be a bootleg. We can sympathise with his predicament, and are utterly horrified that he has spent a few thousand Euro's on what will never be actually released. And because this guy has been duped by Candlelight records, and we hate to see this fat fucking businessman Edward Christie rip people off, we have said he (Wouter) can offer up the 15 coloured vinyl test pressings of the album for sale to try and make himself some money back.
Words cannot express how fucking angry we are right now, it's hard enough playing in an underground band without these fucking London parasites fucking things up for genuine metal fans.
In closing - please do not send Wouter/Cosmic Key any more angry messages (As it would seem all other releases WILL be legitimate), we appreciate your support, truly. And we are glad this has been sorted out quickly. If you are interested in buying a test pressing, you should be able to order one through the label website shortly. The official release will still come via FLOGA Records in 2016.

June 20th 2016, the summer solstice, will see the online and a miniscule physical release of our latest pre-production demo entitled "To Sol A Thane". The songs which make up this recording form part of our forthcoming "White Horse Hill" LP.
As ever, things move at a glacial pace within the Solstice camp, and because we were so pleased with the results of the latest demo we opted to actually release these versions and create a short run 12" vinyl with luxurious hand screen printed sleeves on our own White Horse records label which we will begin mailing out for free on the actual day of the Solstice itself.
There is no criteria for receiving one of the 12" records other than having extended a hand to help at some point in the past, or being extremely supportive of our endeavours. Naturally the number of people we would like to send a copy to far exceeds the 100 copies we have made but our meagre budget has been swallowed by the recording costs of all the pre-production demos we have been making.
However, to offset the costs of what we do, we are offering the digital version of this demo as a "name your price" download. All and any monies earned will be going towards the final recording and mastering costs of the "White Horse Hill" LP. As we refuse to take handouts from labels we choose to work with, preferring to clearly own the rights to our back catalogue ourselves, we finance our own recordings and rely on sales to pay for our recording activities.
"White Horse Hill" will be released on Invictus Productions/White Horse Records in Europe, and Dark Descent Records in North America on Vinyl, Cassette and Compact Disc formats.

It's been a few weeks, but here is some news. First our co-headline gig with A FOREST OF STARS in Bradford on October 28th is postponed again, both bands have been busy recording over the summer and in our case it's taken more of our time than we anticipated. Suffice to say both bands hate to do this, but we will reschedule for early 2018 with the same 5 band billing we had in mind.
Second, we about to move onto mixing, hopefully although as ever we are late we will be looking at announcing the final release date in the next few weeks, with a staggered schedule for Digital, CD and Vinyl which will take us up to the HELL OVER HAMMABURG festival, where if we/you are lucky, we'll be also releasing a limited 7" single of 100 copies only featuring something rather special. This all depends if we can get our drummer and bassist out of the pubs and clubs of West Yorkshire and into a rehearsal room..
Finally, our good friends Danny and Luis have published their latest zine edition in the past few weeks (Pariah Child & Hell Bent For Metal). You can order MASTERS OF THE PIT directly from either...but here's a link to an online review of "TO SOL A THANE" on Danny's website
