"Today we have for you another norweigian treasure well hidden behind mountains, fjords, pineforrests and trollcaves. We bring to you Trondheims finest stoner trio, RESONAUT!
Resonaut shares members with High Priest of Saturn and will join them for the joint quest to bring heavy psychedelic music south to Doomtown. Musically Resonaut is a continuation of ’70s heavy rock with heavy grooves and psychedelic jams topped with strong, distinct vocals. The band is very conscious about their sound, which is reflected in what they present on stage; thunderous, massive and loud performances. Resonaut’s lyrical concepts are influenced by a fascination with knowledge about nature, space, and eastern religion and history.
“Step aboard the Resonautilus
Align with the vibrations and plunge into inner space
Travel beyond colour and sound
Watch ancient rituals unfurl before your mind’s eye
Witness the ascetic practices of the nothing thinkers
and let yourself be buried in a clear blue sky
The Resonauts are your shaman
Guiding you into the beyond” -Resonaut

"Presenting Saturnalia Temple
We are honored to be able to open our stage to a magical occult ritual from the heavy psychedelic doom cult, known as SATURNALIA TEMPLE!!! Saturnalia Temple was born from ages of dark magical strife, to explode in Draconian outbursts of Doom infested trance. Like no other group in the present occult musical revival, Saturnalia Temple actually matches the outspoken rituals with long-term magical dedication as well as a unique chalice of extreme metal through heavy blues and psychedelia.
2012 saw them conduct a very successful ritual at the crucial Roadburn Festival in Holland, as well as doing a European tour and opening for Doom legends Pentagram. The winter of 12/13 sees the group entering their own studio in the forests outside Stockholm to record a 12" vinyl. They will also perform chosen shows around Europe. A new LP is planned for late 2013.
..."Saturnalia Temple are extremely inspired to spread our Draconian Initiation at Heavy Days in Doom Town. We appreciate the idea behind the festival and are glad to be there among such great bands." - Saturnalia Temple

"Today we are happy to present to you a rising star on the british doom sky, the amazing and enchanting ALUNAH!!
This female fronted band will with the epic voice of Soph Day, bring earth inspired beautiful heavy melodies and masterfully cr
afted doom riffs to HDDT in May!
Alunah, recently billed as the "Future of Doom" by Terrorizer Magazine consists of Soph Day (vocals and guitar), Dave Day (guitar), Gaz Imber (bass) and Jake Mason (drums). Hailing from Sabbath county - Birmingham in England, Alunah have spent the last 6 years building up a reputation for being one of the country's most hardworking and consistent live bands by playing dates with many international artists.
They have released their second album "White Hoarhound" which received rave reviews in the international press. The Album see's the band take their Paganistic Doom sound to new levels.
"We're so proud to be joining the 2013 Heavy Days in Doom Town line-up, the festival stands for so many great things, and has a rich history of amazing bands. "Today we are glad to announce from the land of the lakes and rising from the mud the Finnish heavy rock band SEREMONIA at HDDT!
There are a few bands from Finland that play some sort of old school psychedelic hard rock, but none of them sin
g in their native language. Their debut album features fuzz-laden guitar riffage, out-of-control drum grooves, spacey synthscapes, eerily beautiful female vocals and esoteric and apocalyptic lyrics all sung in Finnish.
Seremonia's hard rocking is influenced by the muddy sounds of Anglo-American proto metal, the weirdly fuzzy grooves of Latin psychedelic rock, the experimental ideas of Finnish progressive rock and universal D.I.Y. punk rock ethics. The guitar riffs are doomy and the lyrics are dark, but Seremonia rolls on with an uplifting spirit.
Although Seremonia's music is informed by the heavy rock of the past decades, it is music for these apocalyptic times. Visions of environmental catastrophes or themes of natural and supernatural evil have never been more current topics.
Love for nasty guitar riffs and demented rocking are never out of fashion.
“It's a great honour to be invited to play at Heavy Days In Doom Town. We promise to deliver an eerily psychedelic hard rock show, in gloriously incomprehensible Finnish language. Doom on!” - Seremonia

gut, war auch klar:
"Presenting the French fuzz monster HUATA!
We are happy to say that HUATA, with their massive and raw sound will show us what the word heavy really is all about at HDDT 2013.
After a long time working to get a stable lineup, HUATA gets deeper and deeper into the Doom-Stoner swamp and started to built their altar in the name of the Occult.
Their music is deeply distorted and dark sludge doom with lyrics with a provocative edge, around subjects that includes Josef Fritzl and his Hitler youth, necrophilia and the destruction of the world.
Gathering our disciples for fuzz ritual ceremonies, we are the luminous legacy of the sacred green land. Under the mourning star we preach, the great light of truth, the holy power of extra-terrestrials initiators that guide us to glorious times. Our music is rooted into the actual musical landscape (Electric Wizard, Goatsnake, Cathedral, Bongzilla, Church Of Misery etc.) but also colored with vintage tones (Coven, Black Widow, Black Sabbath, Goblin, Magma etc.). Here is the Occult!
"The gods of mystery shall be grateful to let us prepare this ritual so
close to the Ultima Thule and Helgoland, apex of the drowned Hyperborea.
May the Northern fuzz guide this ceremony in those heavy doom days in
downtown." - Huata

"Presenting to you the Danish sludge bastards BOTTOM FEEDER.
We are extremely proud to present this Copenhagen based sludge destruction unit. BOTTOM FEEDER played a crushing performance at last years HDDT, but this year you will experince them with a new singer, new set, and witness them preaching misery and despair at a whole new level.
Their sound is thick and heavy, distorted and raw, and will leave a crater in your skull from their concrete riffs and filthy grooves along with a lyrical theme of suffering and misery.
BOTTOM FEEDER released a 7” EP on Raw Birth Records at last years HDDT, and this year our Debut album will be on the streets, and ready to kick your teeth in. We are touring Europe in february/march with danish Moonless, and will be in the sharpest condition when we kick out the jams at HDDT pt. II
“We preach the words of depression, worship hopelessness and pray for this world to collapse.
The aching screams of distortion, the monstrous beats of the drums, and the filthy words from our mouths will make you wish you never entered our domain.
We know our roots. No need to compare. Hail true Slugde. - BF “

"On the first day of the new beginning, we are proud to present to you a band that has just toured Northern Europe for the past 10 days and has its final show here in Copenhagen tonight. We bring to you Linköping´s very own hard rocking proto-metal outfit; NOCTURNAL!
Arisen from a cruel night during the winter of '11 NOCTURNAL from Linköping, Sweden started to write songs in the vein of 70's heavy rockbands such as Deep purple, Led Zeppelin, UFO and Rainbow. A couple of months later they recorded their debut 7", which was released by the swedish independent label Gaphals. Since then they have made a few gigs in sweden and a Eurotour in collaboration with Killtown Bookings and Gaphals. As soon as the 7" was released they started to write new songs and went straight into the Whitelight studio in Linköping to record what later will become their first full-length album, which will be released during the spring '13, also by Gaphals. In february/march '13 they will release the first singel from the self-titled album, followed by touring europe with swedish stonerband Skraeckoedlan and will end the tour by playing at Heavy Days In Doomtown.
"This is fucking awesome. Heavy Days in doomtown is a really cool festival with a killer line-up! We are truly excited and thankful for getting the opportunity to come and play some blues influenced heavy rock jams. See you there" - NOCTURNAL

endlich seh ich die auch mal live!!
"Next band to present is the Swedish heavy-garage-rock pioneers Troubled Horse!
Troubled Horse is a band from Örebro, Sweden. A town that brought us a second wave of vitally cool hard rock bands such as Witchcraft and Graveyard. Ironically Troubled Horse features three members of the original Witchraft line-up, one of which (bassist Ola Henriksson) is still a
current member. Lead guitarist John Hoyles parted ways from Witchcraft a few
years ago to concentrate on his other band, Spiders, and these frantic rockers
Troubled Horse, of course.
Despite the collective members Troubled Horse is most definitely an institution in its own right. The raw and melodic song writing skills of singer/guitarist Martin Heppich combine
the hard edged spirit of 70’s US bands such as Dust and Pentagram, with an altogether more soulful 60’s MC5 vibe, making them very unique.
Look forward to this everyone!

"Today we are introducing another “first time in Europe band”, that will play their very first European show ever at HDDT II! We are exremely excited to present another hidden treasure from Seattles pot of gold, a band mastering epic crushing Pacific Northwestern doom, we bring to you the mighty; SHADOW OF THE TORTURER!!
Shadow of the Torturer formed in Eugene, Oregon, USA during the winter of 2005 as a side project of Mikey Brown from Aldebaran. Along with ex Yob bassist Isamu Sato and original Yob drummer, Gabe Morely, SOTT released “Marching into Chaos” on Blinddate Records (Germany). This slow, spiteful, yet catchy album dealt with loss and solitude. In 2010, it was rerecorded and rereleased in CD format on Memento Mori Records (Spain). After an ever changing lineup, in 2011 SOTT solidified the lineup in Seattle, Washington with B joining on bass and ex HC Minds drummer, Thor, on drums. 2013 will see the release of “Cities of the Damned” split 10” on Blinddate Records as well as a new full length album entitled “Dronestown.”
“Shadow of the Torturer is very excited to be able to bring epic, crushing Pacific Northwest doom to Europe for the first time ever and will be backed by Timmy Call from Aldebaran at Heavy Days in Doomtown 2013 and the following European mini tour” -Shadow of the Torturer

"Today we have a special addition to the fest to announce. We have the honor of opening our stage to one of the true legends and pioneers of Danish doom. A band that started playing in a time when the genre they were part of making famous was only in the beginning of taking its shape and form. We are extremely proud to bring to you; SATURNUS!!!
Saturnus is Denmarks oldest still active doom death metal band spreading its doom since
1991. In the first two years of their existence they played under the moniker “Assesino” and in 1993 they changed their name into Saturnus. In 2013 Saturnus can celebrate their 20th year anniversary as Saturnus with 4 full-length albums behind them. The 4th fulll length album, Saturn In Ascension, was recorded at Winding Road Studio with the famous producer Flemming Rasmussen (Metallica, Morbid Angel, Blind Gaurdian etc.) and the album was released on the 30th of November 2012. The release was celebrated with an amazing 3½ hour performance at Loppen, Christiania the night before the release. The music of Saturnus can be descirbed as melodic death/doom metal with touches of gothic metal while their lyrical universe deals with sorrow, loss, and death.
“We are extremly happy to play next years edition of HDDT! We were there this year to see the shows and the result was overwhelming. FANTASTIC festival! It means so much for Saturnus to play this festival, because finally after so many years with no doom in Denmark we have our own festval. That is something we are extremly proud of we finally have and we will love to support this festival as much as we can, cause we are family god dammit! No star fuckers, just pure DOOM. We are looking so much forward to this - stay Doom!” –Saturnus

"Today we have another band that sticks a bit out of the mass of slow and heavy doom bands, cause this band brings their own twist of hardcore and 70´ies rock into the mix. We are excited to bring to you a band that will rock the shit out of you and leave you sweatdrenched with their high energy guitar onslaught. We are happy to announce that Oaklands very own LECHEROUS GAZE will give you the dirty looks at HDDT and leave you blushing like you were back in highschool…!
Lecherous Gaze was formed in 2009 out of the ashes of the well known hardcore punk band, Annihilation Time. Steeping themselves in the Hendrix-tripped guitar-god worship of bombastic 70’s rock and the primordial 60s rockin’ rawness of Chuck Berry, Clise and company’s hard-core of Flag and Sabbath worship congealed into a sticky sweet nug of potent hard rock hash.
The band released a self-titled 4 song EP with singer Lakis Panagiotopulos on Tee Pee Records in 2011. However, after some brief touring of the US and a full European tour, the Gaze decided to part ways with Lakis, again taking a brief period off to expand their arsenal of riffs. They soon enlisted the help of long time friend, Zaryan Zaidi of the band Char-Man to join the Gaze as their new front man. With his raspy Beefheart/Howlin’ Wolf delivery coupling with the aggressively dark tones of Alice Cooper, Zaryan gelled perfectly with the frustrated and heavy sonic assault the band had been building up for release since the break up of Annihilation Time. October 2012 saw the release of the debut full length 3 years in the making; which with its maelstromic mixture of heavy rock riffage, punk snarl attitude, and Zep-like attention to detail, comes across as a heshers record collection melted together into one crushing slab of volcanic rock and roll.

"Today we bring you the last in line of the “first time in Europe bands”… Its a band with such a huge heavy sound that you will be surprized that its only a two-piece. We are excited to announce that Seattle´s heaviest doom dou, BELL WITCH will pay a visit to HDDT pt-II!! Bell Witch will hit Europe in early May and play their first show at HDDT as part of their planned 2 weeks tour with Samothrace (us) booked by Killtown Bookings.
Bell Witch is a doom metal duo comprised of bassist / vocalist Dylan Desmond (also a member of Samothrace) and drummer / vocalist Adrian Guerra (from Lethe and Sod Hauler) based in Seattle. With only the bare minimum at their disposal, the pair crafts some of the darkest, heaviest and most dismal time-stretching doom in recent memory, and their first releases, a 2011 self-titled demo and a 12” entitled “Longing” has already garnered significant recognition from the underground scene. With a more sinister and enveloping sound, Bell Witch’s debut full-length Longing is a marathon-like exercise in extreme doom. Testing the thresholds of listeners who become engrossed in its overwhelming sonic experience, it’s a powerful statement from one of the most promising acts the American scene has to offer.
The bass and drum duo mount the lead of a tattered line of speakers and volley complex, introspective rhythm lines of sadness and grief. Being no hurry in a storm, the heaviness of the songs crush into multiple layers. There are somber, sustained choral chants reserved for dark cathedrals and aching funerals in contrast to the grimaced, even hateful shrieks and guttural harrowing that carry the eerie storm. Grimly, the drums of a war horde sire a march of dual melody lines played from two hands tapping bass strings with the roaring thunder and floral lightning of the mighty storm. There is shock when the eyes see two bodies where the ears believed five.
“Bell Witch is thrilled to be added to the lineup for Heavy Days in Doomtown. It’s an honor to be part of a festival carried by artists and individuals with ethics parallel to ours” –Bell Witch

"On this second last day of the year of 2012 we have a special suprize for all you doomfanatics out there. For the past several months we have worked hard on trying to get this band all the way across the globe to come do a much anticipated tour in Europe. Two days ago they had the honor of being announced at Roadburn 2013 and today its our turn. We are extemely honored to present to you the uncrowned kings of funeral doom, the masters of downtuned heaviness and the lords of epic, somber, mournful music. We bring to you the mighty MOURNFUL CONGREGATION!!!
To those of you who aren´t familiar with the amazing band; Mournful Congregation is from Adelaide, Australia and was formed in late 1993. Throughout the 90's they recorded two demo tapes, and one full length album, which would only be officially released in 2002. From the beginning they dedicated themselves to writing "Extreme Doom Metal", utilising extra-slow tempos, down-tuned heaviness and multiple guitar harmonies for the aim of creating depressing, epic and mournful music. With these recordings they slowly spread through the underground metal scene, mostly via tape trading.
In 2005 their second full length, "The Monad of Creation" was released through Weird Truth Productions (JAP) , which solidified their dedication to "Funeral Doom". 2009 saw the release of their third full length, "The June Frost" also through Weird Truth (JAP) and Ostra Records (FRA). At this point the band played live for the first time ever in their career, starting with an Australian tour, and then moving onto play a 17-date tour throughout Europe.
In late 2011, they released their fourth full length, "The Book of Kings" through 20 Buck Spin (US), Osmose Productions (FRA), Weird Truth (JAP) and Ostra Records (FRA), and subsequently toured the US West Coast. In 2012, they once again toured the West Coast of the US, comprising of 11 dates and a performance at the Stella Natura Festival in California.
"Mournful Congregation are very pleased to be a part of Heavy Days in Doomtown 2013. We are currently preparing an ultimate set of death, doom and depression for the event, that we may be able to deliver a funeral doom meditation mass to the doomed danish hordes attending" - Mournful Congregation

We are happy to announce the amazing perfectors of improvised phsychedelic space rock, the space cadets of ØRESUND SPACE COLLECTIVE! For this special performance they will bring long time friend Tom Sutton from Church of Misery to complete your journy to the faraway planet DOOM!
