Copley was predominantly a session drummer. He has worked with Jeff Beck (which produced and played guitars on Copley's Upp band in the '70s), Ian Gillan and Glenn Hughes of Deep Purple, Go West, Killing Joke, Tears for Fears, Seal, Tony Iommi and Paul Rodgers among the others.
