On the 3rd of December 2018, six years to the day after the apocalypse, Svartidauði will unleash long awaited sophomore full length Revelations of the Red Sword upon the ashes of civilization.
Once again recorded and produced at Studio Emissary by Stephen Lockhart and featuring artwork by David Glomba, the combined result is equally stunning sonically as it is visually. The 6 track, 47 minute album marks Svartidauði’s second release on legendary German imprint Ván Records.

The Red Sword refers to the rays of a rising- and a setting sun, encompassing its contents in the fire and the fury of our world’s most creative and destructive force, the glowing God up above, the Sun - Celebrating its howling solar winds, all the while waiting with anticipation for the inevitable heat death of the universe.

Ja, aber das erste, das ich mir dachte, war, scheiße, das Album ist am Winter Rituals noch nicht erhältlich... (1. vs. 3. Dezember).
Ist auch bei einigen Doom over Vienna Bands so. Neues Release und exakt die Tage nachn Festival kommts erst raus... (in Wahrheit müsste da jedes seriöse Plattenlabel alle Hebel in Bewegung setzen, so ein Release um ein paar Tage vorzupushen, weil wann erreichst schon so praktisch zusammengetriebenes Zielklientel...; aber gut, auf der Tour verkauft ja die Band ihr eigenes Kontingent, dass sie vom Label abkriegt, somit ist das dem Label völlig schnuppe bzw. vermutlich sogar recht, weil wenn die Band live gefallen hat und man das Album nicht von der Band am Konzert kaufen kann, muss man es notgedrungen beim Label bestellen. Da wir die exklusiv haben, hat das in dem Fall weniger mit Labelpolitik zu tun, Svartidaudi spielen dann noch in Berlin und dann erst wieder die Headlinertour 2019. Insofern möchte ich dem Sven da gar nichts unterstellen. Ich verstehe aber deinen Gedanken schon, weil das doch öfter vorkommt...und wenn ich dann schon die Platte beim Label kauf, nehm ich vielleicht die und das auch noch mit...

Wir bleiben auf jeden Fall dran und eventuell hat die Band welche mit.
