BENIGHTED deliver the radical soundtrack to these savage times. Their latest full-length album “Necrobreed” is the result of modern violence combined with an undercurrent of old school feeling. BENIGHTED keep their grinding influences but classic death metal clearly shows through the fabric. Insane pig squeals are backed-up by massive growling. Crushing riffing and nuclear drumming meet subtle melodies and hidden hooks are fueling the fury. On the live front, BENIGHTED quickly started to capture audiences with sweat-inducing performances that bulldozer any resistance mercilessly aside. Ellende @ Kaltenbach Open Air 2020 (15th anniversary)

The Austrian black metal outfit ELLENDE was founded in the year 2011 by L.G. as a solo project and soon turned into a live band by recruiting several session members in 2012. With their latest album “Lebensnehmer”, the band proved to be one of the most aspiring (post) black metal bands of today. The band members themselves state that their name comes from a Middle High German adjective originating from the West Germanic “alja-landja”, which can be translated as „being out of the country“. In the sense of „exiled“, the translation took on a negative connotation over time, reflected nowadays in modern German word “elend”, i.e. „miserable“. Ich hab keinen Narren am KOA gefressen. Es ist nur das größte steirische Metal Festival und ich bin Steirer! Das Metal Fanatics Forum ist ein Metal Forum, was wäre naheliegender als die mitlesenden User hier über das Festival zu informieren?

Mach ich z.B auch beim KIT, RIG, MotH und bei etlichen Konzerten die in Österreich stattfinden so!

Dafür muß ich doch nicht selber die Konzerte besuchen!

Ich hab keinen Narren am KOA gefressen. Es ist nur das größte steirische Metal Festival und ich bin Steirer!

Aber ist es nicht powidl woher man ist!? Vor über 10 Jahren habe ich das gleiche für das Suffering Life-Festival in Franken gemacht - und ich bin kein Franke. Oder auch für das Antitrend-Festival in Südtschechien - und ich bin auch kein Tscheche. Aber ich habe dies gemacht, weil ich erstens die Veranstalter kenne, und zweitens weil ich hingefahren bin.

Dafür muß ich doch nicht selber die Konzerte besuchen!

Irgendwie schon. Es gibt 2 Gründe, warum man so etwas macht. Entweder man plant dorthin zu fahren, oder man macht Werbung, weil man zum Street team gehört. Andernfalls macht es wenig Sinn.

Ich war auch nur auf dem ersten KIT, bin nicht aus Deutschland und poste jede neue Band........

Malokarpatan @ Kaltenbach Open Air 2020 (15th anniversary)

MALOKARPATAN was formed in autumn 2014 as a solo project of Adam S., the main composer and lyricist. The initial idea of the project was to pay homage to the originators of black metal’s first wave and also to the culture of his home country Slovakia. Eventually, he teamed up with HV and Temnohor in order to record the debut album “Stridžie dni”. Evoking the sounds of early BATHORY, VENOM, MERCYFUL FATE and Eastern European black metal pioneers, MALOKARPATAN created their unique style by combining 80s heavy metal and early black metal. Several live shows across Europe and their second album “Nordkarpatenland” made the band, now a five-piece introducing Peter and Miroslav, a name to deal with. With the release of their first demo “Fegefeuer”(2001) and first full length album “Misanthropic War” (2003), soon the band became a constant in the Austrian metal scene and beyond. With the follow-ups “Menschenhasser” (2013) and “Feindt” (2018), the four-piece once again created masterpieces in terms of brutality and rawness. Uncompromisingly, MISANTHROPIC MIGHT stand for vicious black metal and their trademarks are relentless blasting, melodic riffs and demonic vocals. Globaler Virus Mensch ist... Keep going... a slogan etched in the minds of all that ever witnessed a LOWBAU show. Founded in 2006, this Viennese sludge metal band is blessed with a DIY spirit and driven by passion. No stage is unworthy, no crowd is too large or too small. Their first record “The EP“ as well as the follow up full length album “A Darker Shade Of Blues” were well received by the scene and on 24 December 2016, the band released another lethal blow called “Urban Voodoo”.
