Napalm Records hat geschrieben:Brazilian Thrashers Nervosa Announce New Band Line Up! Currently Working on New Music – Stay Tuned for More Details

Brazilian thrash metal institution NERVOSA have announced their new band line-up! After a long and vigorous audition process, Prika Amaral – creator, founding member and guitarist of the band – is thrilled to announce that vocalist Diva Satanica (Bloodhunter), bassist Mia Wallace (Abbath & Triumph of Death), and drummer Eleni Nota (Mask of Prospero and Croque Madame) have all joined the force that is NERVOSA!

The choice to form a quartet instead of reinstating a trio was made to give NERVOSA a fresh approach and show another thrilling facet, but will in no way take away from the thrash/death essence they are renowned for. Fans can expect riffs with a lot of down-picking and a strong grip, fast and technical drums, a renewed and heavier bass with super aggressive thrash metal vocals.

NERVOSA guarantees that, as soon as live events can happen again, they will comply with their schedule and travel the world to bring their unique sound everywhere! The band is also pleased to state that they have begun working on new music. Stay tuned for more info!

Prika Amaral comments:
"It was an incredible experience to meet so many talented women. It was not easy to choose just one and being forced to say “no” to several really good musicians. But the question is beyond musical competence. It involves availability, professional posture, good communication, etc... I am very happy with the result and very confident. I already have a lot of new songs saved and we have already started writing. We plan to launch some new material online during self-quarantine downtime, as well. I guarantee that NERVOSA is coming with full strength."

NERVOSA are:
Diva Satanica (Vocals)
Prika Amaral (Guitar)
Mia Wallace (Bass)
Eleni Nota (Drums)

Blabbermouth hat geschrieben: JETHRO TULL's IAN ANDERSON Clarifies Comments On Lung Disease Diagnosis

JETHRO TULL frontman Ian Anderson has clarified his diagnosis of COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), an incurable lung disease that he first revealed during an appearance on Dan Rather's "The Big Interview".

The 72-year-old musician made his health condition public during a discussion that aired Wednesday night on AXS TV. The singer said he has gone 18 months without an exacerbation, saying he has treated his condition by medicating, avoiding areas with heavy pollution and continuing to keep his lungs fit by pushing them to their limits.

Earlier today, Anderson released the following statement: "Thanks for your concern but no worries about my diagnosed COPD and asthma. I have had 14 months with no infections and no bronchitis so last year was the first since my 20s when I didn't get sick at all. The conditions I have are early-stage and I plan to keep them that way.

"I really meant when talking to Dan Rather last September that my days as a singer were numbered, rather than days to live! After all, I am 73 years old this August! But I should be OK for a few more years if COVID-19 doesn't get me first.

"I am at no more risk of catching the COVID virus than anyone else. Just that the results could be much worse than if I was 17 or even 27. If anything, I am less likely to catch it than many people as I have been practising very safe hygiene for years and social distancing is a way of life for me! I am well rehearsed in public spaces, restaurants, hotels etc. Only flying causes me concern. But I have all the best gels, sprays, masks and facial protection ready for if and when the time comes to embark into the real world professionally.

"A mild COPD or asthma are just things to live with for the millions around the world who suffer. But no impact at all on my daily life as long as I don't catch a cold or flu virus and suffer the subsequent heavy bronchitis which, for me, historically follows since I was a young man. But on the upside I don't suffer from hemorrhoids or erectile disfunction. So, things are looking up, not down — puns fully intended."

Anderson formed a blues and jazz fusion band in the mid-60s and the name changed frequently until an agent, with an interest in history, booked them as JETHRO TULL, and the name stuck. Ian took up the flute, as he felt he would never match Eric Clapton as a guitarist as and, with a coat purchased to keep out the cold in a draughty bedsit, the image of the tousled, flute-wielding minstrel was born.

JETHRO TULL became one of the most distinctive and original bands to fall under the "progressive rock" umbrella and that still sets them apart as one of the best-loved bands of the genre.

Former NERVOSA Members FERNANDA LIRA And LUANA DAMETTO Launch Death Metal Band CRYPTA
Bild
Former NERVOSA bassist/vocalist Fernanda Lira and drummer Luana Dametto have teamed up with BURNING WITCHES guitarist Sonia "Anubis" Nusselder and ex-HAGBARD guitarist Tainá Bergamaschi in a new "old-school death metal" band called CRYPTA. The quartet, which was founded in June 2019, is currently working on material for its debut release.

Lira and drummer Dametto left NERVOSA last month for "personal" reasons.

Guitarist Prika Amaral started NERVOSA back in 2010, and Fernanda assumed the bass and vocal duties for the band in July 2011. Luana joined in 2017 after the previous three drummers left the group.

Stefan Weinerhall hat geschrieben:FALCONER DISBANDING As the new album "From a dying ember" is released on the 26:th of June FALCONER will cease to exist after 20 years. The reason is nothing drastical or sudden but it has grown during the last years. It is just time to move on after all this time to do something different, whatever that might be. I (Stefan) felt before this album that although I love Falconer´s music I knew just too well how to make it and what my own expectations and boundaries are when it comes to writing songs for Falconer. It felt maybe a bit too safe and familiar. We decided to make this final album as good as we possibly could and really concentrate on having all Falconer elements present and really make sure that each element got full devotion. For example, the ballad should be as "ballady" as ever, and the folk song should sound as folky as possible etc. The sole decision to make this the final album actually sparked a new found enthusiasm and engagement for me as a song writer, it was like the final sprint for a long distance runner. The last thing we wanted was to release a "so-so" final album, but really make it good enough so we could end the band with our heads held high, thus we let it take it´s time. If we succeeded we´ll leave to the fans to decide, but we as a band feel really proud of this achievement and hope that most fans will consider this to be a respectable “Adieu”. So, what will happen for the members now? Well there is no real plans for that, we´ll just see what the future brings when it comes to music................................. With this said we would like to thank all our fans and everyone that we have worked with or met during the years and wish you all the best in the future. With the Falconer dead and his falcons soaring the sky we bid you all a final farewell! Stefan, Mathias, Karsten, Jimmy and Magnus

Blabbermouth hat geschrieben:SCORPIONS/Ex-MOTÖRHEAD Drummer MIKKEY DEE Confirms He Contracted COVID-19

Mikkey Dee has confirmed that he recently tested positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

The former MOTÖRHEAD and current SCORPIONS drummer took to his social media to address rumors of his illness after Don Dokken recently said that Mikkey "lost 35 pounds" and "was really in bad shape" after contracting the virus in Australia.

Earlier today, Dee wrote on Instagram: "Hello guys! "I just want to set some rumors straight regarding Don Dokkens statement about my Corona situation.

"I did get Corona and was sick for about 1 month. I am now fully recovered since mid April. I was already playing hockey and drums by the end of April.

"Unfortunately my good friend Don got some info wrong. I did not get Corona in Australia, the virus was contracted in Sweden. I did not loose 35 pounds, I lost 15 pounds. But as I just mentioned, I am now fully recovered and have registred antibodies so that feels great.

"I can't wait for things to go back to normal so we can hit the road again.

"Thank you guys for caring and my heart goes out to each and everyone affected by the current situation our world is in.

"Stay safe! Mikkey"

In his interview with Songfacts, Dokken stated: "I talked to Mikkey Dee from the SCORPIONS the other night, and he and his wife got COVID in Australia. They were in the middle of nowhere and got it. He called me up and he said, 'I'll tell you, Don, you don't want to get it. I was on the floor.' He lost 35 pounds. He was sick as a dog. He was in a hospital. He was really in bad shape. He said, 'I don't know how I got it.' Because they had social distancing big-time in Australia."

Ronnie Atkins Official hat geschrieben:As promised a week ago here’s a little update on my current health situation.

I’m not gonna go into details, but just state that unfortunately I’m still battling cancer!! After some pain issues and following a scan just before Easter this year I was told that the cancer had spread and I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, which in principle means incurable!

Now there were two paths I could go by! I could sit down in a corner and feel pity for myself (which I guess I did for a while) or I could try to carry on living and do what I do best and I chose the latter.

So with great back up from my family and true friends I decided to keep on writing music and lyrics plus the fact that I had a lot of ideas/songs that I wanted to get out of my system. So that’s what I’ve been doing on/off for the last couple of months.

That eventually means that some new music is coming from me in the immediate future, but more details on that later.

All that said, I must state that I feel good these days and have done for a while. I still get treatments, mainly immune therapy. I have some permanent pain issues and other sequelaes that I have to deal with! And mentally, I have my good days and my bad days, so be it !

But I feel that I’m in good hands with the doctors and staff who’s treating me, so everything considered I’m in good spirits!

It is what it is and I can’t change that whatsoever, so I simply aim to get the best out of life. 😊

Finally another huuuuge thank to all of you out there who’s been rooting for me and cheering me up through this process ! Means a lot to me 🙏

Love ❤️
Ronnie

Blabbermouth hat geschrieben:VIO-LENCE Has Finished Writing Four Songs For Upcoming EP

Guitarist Phil Demmel of reunited San Francisco Bay Area thrashers VIO-LENCE spoke to Portugal's Underground's Voice about the progress of the songwriting sessions for the band's new EP, tentatively due in 2021 via Metal Blade Records.

"We are recording a five-song EP," he said. "And we just finished song number four last night, and I'm pretty excited about it. It's fast. The songs are hard to play. Sean [Killian, vocals] sounds great, man — his vocals sound so great. Perry's [Strickland, drums] playing crazy, like ['Muppets' character] Animal, back there. And the riffs are hard — I'm pushing myself with the riffs. I don't want you to just be able to pick up a guitar and play the riff; I want it to be pretty tough. And it's hard on me — I'm pushing myself. So, four songs are ready. We'll probably start recording in a couple of months, maybe, and get it out next year."

This past August, VIO-LENCE released a new digital single, "California Über Alles", a cover version of the DEAD KENNEDYS classic. The band also filmed a music video for the song with director Scott Kirkeeng.

In January, VIO-LENCE parted ways with guitarist Ray Vegas and replaced him with Bobby Gustafson (ex-OVERKILL). The band's current lineup also includes bassist Christian Olde-Wolbers (ex-FEAR FACTORY).

VIO-LENCE released three studio albums between 1988 and 1993. The group reunited soon after Demmel left MACHINE HEAD in late 2018.

VIO-LENCE performed its first comeback concert in April 2019 at the Oakland Metro in Oakland, California and spent the last year playing select shows in the U.S. and Europe.

Although MACHINE HEAD frontman Robb Flynn was part of VIO-LENCE's classic incarnation and played on the band's debut album, "Eternal Nightmare", he wasn't approached about taking part in any of the comeback shows.

Killian underwent a successful liver transplant surgery in March 2018. The year before, Killian was diagnosed with stage four liver cirrhosis, which was caused in part by a genetic condition called hemochromatosis.

"We are far beyond thrilled to start working with Napalm Records. We feel that they can provide the best possible temple for a boulder called BODOM AFTER MIDNIGHT to roll over all the archeologists who claim that metal music is on the brink of extinction. Our new family at Napalm is giving us the liberty to make music that you can bang your head to very soon.”
Thomas Caser, Managing Director Napalm Records adds:
“Welcome BODOM AFTER MIDNIGHT. I have been following the career of Alexi Laiho since the first COB albums and have always been a huge fan. It’s needless to say that we are delighted to finally work with such a talent and we cannot wait for the first bits of music to be unleashed to the metal world. This will be BIG!”
After nearly three decades, ten studio full-lengths, two live albums, hundreds of concerts, a Gold certification and many chart-breaking successes, legendary Finnish export Children Of Bodom closed one section and opened another thrilling brand new chapter in their musical career - carrying their well-known spirit and adding some exciting new elements. Vocalist Alexi Laiho and guitarist Daniel Freyberg have joined forces with Waltteri Väyrynen (known as a drummer for Paradise Lost), Mitja Toivonen (ex-Santa Cruz bassist) and live keyboardist Vili Itäpelto to form the explosive new metal pillar BODOM AFTER MIDNIGHT!
Named after a track on Follow the Reaper, the newly staffed supergroup already played their exclusive first live set, showcasing their inexorable musical intensity.
BODOM AFTER MIDNIGHT are currently working on some exciting new tunes and have entered their studio to record new material. Prepare for a new metal era! More to come soon ...
BODOM AFTER MIDNIGHT on their plans for 2021:
"As most of our gigs and touring plans for 2020 got cancelled, meanwhile we've been working hard on our upcoming full-length album that's supposed to see the light of the day in late 2021. To make the wait a little easier we want to give a treat to our fans and announce that we’ve just finished the recordings for two brand new bone-crushing and neck-breaking BODOM AFTER MIDNIGHT songs! Needless to say we're absolutely thrilled about this and we can guarantee there's killer stuff coming up your way! Cheers and stay tuned for more info!”

Hammer King Signs Worldwide Record Deal with Napalm Records

New Music Coming in 2021!
Behold the HAMMER KING – and welcome to the Napalm Records family!
The all-powerful HAMMER KING will set forth on a heroic journey in 2021 and have chosen their mighty allies for the trek – none other than Napalm Records! The band has signed a worldwide record deal with the premier rock and metal label and are set to release new music soon.
Ever since HAMMER KING burst onto the scene in 2015 with their first album, Kingdom Of The Hammer King, swiftly followed up with King Is Rising in 2016 and Poseidon Will Carry Us Home in 2018, they have proven themselves as an unstoppable force! Celebrating the truest of heavy metal in the tradition of IRON MAIDEN, JUDAS PRIEST and PFALZGRAF LUITPOLD, the band keeps it heavy with speedy riffs, energic grooves and fist-pumping choruses, devoting their existence to the one and only myth of the godly HAMMER KING himself!
Hand-picked by thy majesty himself, the band consists of former ROSS THE BOSS vocalist Titan Fox and former SALTATIO MORTIS drummer Dolph A. Macallan, alongside Gladius Thundersword on bass and Kleveland's most timeless lead guitarist: Gino Wilde. Now proudly joining the Napalm Records roster, this powerful heavy metal unit is even more of a serious force to be reckoned with in 2021.
HAMMER KING on signing to Napalm Records:
“It has been done! Ever since thy Majesty, the Hammer King, founded the band, it was our strongest desire to move onward and upward. Now, signing with Napalm Records, we are joyous, proud and confident to have taken at least one giant step upward. Napalm Records has always been our dream partner for Hammer King as they very obviously are doing an outstanding job promoting and pushing their classy roster of bands.
We are blessed to now be a part of that roster and we are equally sworn to work as hard and consistently as possible to deliver whatever it takes to fulfill Napalm's expectations in us – as well as our own and those of the Hammer King.
We kneel in gratitude – and we stand with the Kingly Hammer raised to take the world!
God bless the King, may the King bless you!”

Napalm Records hat geschrieben:
NAPALM RECORDS Expands Rock & Metal Empire with Acquisition of SPV
Internationally esteemed heavy rock and metal record labels Napalm Records Handels GmbH and SPV GmbH
are pleased to announce that they have joined forces, combining decades of renowned expertise and passion for music, their artists, and those who inspire it all - the fans. Napalm Records’ acquisition of SPV was completed at the end of November 2020 and represents a logical step in the Austrian company's global strategy.
Long-established company SPV, founded in 1984 by Manfred Schütz, along with its current subsidiary labels such as Steamhammer (featuring a roster including Sodom, Running Wild, Magnum, Axel Rudi Pell, Rage) and Long Branch Records (featuring artists such as Agent Fresco, The Intersphere, The Hirsch Effekt, Silvertomb, A Pale Horse Named Death), is now part of the Napalm Records family. The company’s current location in Hannover, Germany and the SPV team around Managing Director Frank Uhle will maintain their structure and, in regard to new distribution partners and labels, be expanded in the future.
Napalm Records CEO Markus Riedler states:
"The continuation and expansion of SPV GmbH as a distributor and the strengthening of the in-house labels are our major priorities. We will combine all forces, and link them with the power and worldwide network of Napalm Records in order to positively shape the future together. The employees of SPV are music-savvy, extremely experienced experts who are needed, now more than ever, to survive in these turbulent times on the international market. Together with Managing Director Frank Uhle and his team, we will seize the opportunities that currently present themselves and face the ever-growing challenges that the modern music market brings with it. In the ever-changing music landscape, we will continue to deliver our strong digital setup alongside our partners The Orchard, and also continue to provide strong physical product distribution for both our retail partners and the fans worldwide via our mailorder stores.
We have purposefully launched and implemented this major project under difficult conditions in 2020. This was a great team effort, for which I would like to thank everyone involved. For Napalm Records, this acquisition is without a doubt an extraordinary, historic moment!”
SPV Managing Director Frank Uhle adds:
"With Napalm Records, we have found a synergistically perfect partner for our artists, bands and labels. The international setup and the additional reach and power of Napalm's marketing capabilities mean an important upgrade for SPV in tackling future tasks. I look forward to working with Markus Riedler and the affiliated teams to further strengthen and expand our position in the market."

Our label INFERNÖ Records

For 14 years of hard work it has published over 50 releases, including both Jenner's releases.
Inferno Records is the first record label to contact us at the time when our first album hadn't yet been recorded, and Fabien Pinneteau is the man thanks to whom we learned a lot about the world of metal music and thanks to whom we did all this with even more love and enthusiasm.
Thank you for believing in us unconditionally from the beginning, for always being full of patience and understanding! Working with you was a real pleasure, hope we'll do it again someday.

Well.. as if 2020 was not shitty enough.. time has come for me to announce that INFERNO Records won't be active for a while, although no time limit is set, it'll last at least one year...
So 2021 won't see any new releases or activity from our side..
A break is necessary and it'll last the time it takes..

INFERNO Records was a longtime project of mine, I'm happy i could do it, realise how much work such an adventure takes.. to this day, I can say I'm PLEASED with the work done...
14 years, more than 50 releases from bands from all over the world... I was lucky enough to meet fantastic people (quite a few assholes too ! That's also part of the reality !), to work with, to create strong friendships with, also to help some bands to play live or tour, or just helping with the promotion.. 14 BUSY years !!

Today.. I need a BREAK from all this "business".. I can't - physically, emotionally, mentally - go on like this.. I need to slow down, more than once i was close to face "burn-out" situations,
I need to take care of my health and concentrate on more personal things of my life.. even if I can annouce a small "music-related" project is in mind.. but nothing that takes so much energy or time. .

I'd like to thank you all.. bands, labels, promoters, webzines, magazines, heavy-metal maniacs.. for the GREAT support and collaboration during these 14 years !
You know who you are, I know who you are ! WITHOUT YOU, N O T H I N G would have been possible ! THANKS ALOT !!

See you .. later or never - only time will tell !

THANKS AGAIN,
Sincerely,
Fabien / INFERNO Records
