Ja Colossus is definitiv einer meiner Lieblingssongs!!!

Fein, ein neues Album, ich nehm mal an eh wieder härter, auch wenn mir Origin sehr gut gefallen hat.

klingt wirklich sehr gut, der neue song. bombastisch, ohne zu aufdringlich und glatt zu sein

Hab mir gleich am Erscheinungstag (Freitag, 26.2.) das Album im Original zugelegt ohne vorher in digitaler Form reingehört zu haben: Grandiose scheiblette das, interessant auch die variante mit drei sängern für ein borknagar album. man hat vintersorg eigentlich (leider?) noch nie so wenig gehört seit er dabei ist.

muss mich mit Fleshflower (Solefald Sänger Lars A. Nedland) aber noch ein wenig anfreunden, "My Domain" hingegen vom Vortex geht gut ins ohr.

neben dem superben Opener mein Geheimtipp: "For A Thousand Years To Come". Hammersong, Hammerstimme von Vintersorg.

Naja, nicht mehr ganz.
Aber eigentlich is der von Borknagar und Arcturus, und jetzt halt dazwischen mal bei Drama Burger.

Neue Scheibe ist mMn sehr cool, außer dem komischen Flesh Flower. Aber vll. hör ich mich da auch noch rein.
Relativ viele coole Blastbeat Teile...

Ja, das Drumming is überhaupt superb. Generell gefällt mir die Produktion sehr gut, sehr differenziert aber nicht steril.

The band is currently working on touring plans for the future. Due to private commitments Vintersorg is unfortunately not able to join the band on the road for the moment being. Because of this, I.C.S. Vortex will step in to the fold to handle vocal and bass for upcoming live activities.
　
　
Øystein G. Brun comments:
“As stated in several interviews the last couple of month’s it’s our firm intention to bring the band’s live activities up a notch- in respect for all our fans. There is just no way we can dismiss all the requests we get all over the world. We are currently working on some really interesting touring plans, but unfortunately our brother in music Vintersorg is not able to come along for the moment being due to private commitments. So Vortex being a previous member and always a good friend of the band, it feels great to have him back in the fold in order to execute these plans. Also, I would like to express my deepest admiration for Vintersorg’s open minded and supportive attitude, embracing the idea to pull this off with Vortex in his absence- to make this a genuine and worthy solution for BORKNAGAR.”

“This is just what the band needs at the moment. I’m not leaving the band or anything like that, but my work situation is holding me back for doing these shows. I know I.C.S Vortex will bring all his personality and skills into this to make it perfect! I wish I could be there.”

“I am looking forward to see all you old school helmet-wearing mo-fos on the road
and to spend some quality time once again with my favorite vikings.

weiß gar nicht, was höher anzusiedeln ist: Dass Borknagar endlich touren oder dass Vortex seine Stimmbänder für die Borgs malträtiert. Quintessence ist ja sowas von nem Überalbum...

Bin gespannt wie er die seit den letzten Alben ziemlich komplexen Basslinien mit seiner Gesangsleistung kombiniert darbieten will...

Heuer ist überhaupt "Year of the Vortex" wies aussieht: Borknagar-Tour, Solo-Scheibe, neue Lamented Souls und nächstes Jahr wird ja wohl Arcuturs wiederbelebt... alles fast zu geil.
