Der Refrain klingt eh lässig. Der erste Versteil kommt a bisserl wenig locker vom hocker

Napalm Records hat geschrieben:
Dragony Signs Worldwide Record Deal with Napalm Records!

Unstoppable Austrian symphonic power metal heroes DRAGONY have signed a worldwide record deal with Napalm Records. Eight years have passed since they debuted with their first album "Legends", and despite their humble beginnings back in 2007, the band is now a well-known representative of the genre. Owing to their outstanding live performance skills, DRAGONY quickly arose to share the stage with Blind Guardian, Sonata Arctica, Powerwolf, Van Canto and many others.
After their second release, Shadowplay, the band performed at major European festivals as well as headlining Vienna’s popular Donauinselfest in 2016. Since then, DRAGONY followed up with two strong releases and reinforced their stance even more. Referencing fantasy-scenarios as well as pop-culture elements, like video games and movies, the Austrians conquered the 70,000 Tons of Metal cruise and the legendary Wacken Open Air in 2019.
DRAGONY on the signing:
“Metal is coming home! We are more than thrilled to announce that DRAGONY has signed a new worldwide record deal with Napalm Records!
As an Austrian band, it truly feels almost like a "homecoming" for us to not only work with one of the best labels for metal and rock music in the world today, but one that is also based in Austria. We feel that Napalm Records is the perfect place for our brand of tongue-in-cheek power metal, as the label is also home to many of our favorite acts from the genre.
We are very much looking forward to releasing our upcoming fourth album through Napalm, and we are very thankful and excited about all the possibilities of this new collaboration for the next chapter in DRAGONY history.
We stand - with forces united!
Stay glorious!”

Dragony hat geschrieben:An incredible 30(!) years ago today one of the last masterpieces of the golden era of Heavy Metal was released - Happy Birthday Judas Priest's PAINKILLER!

This was pretty much the "last stand" of Heavy Metal before a new type of Rock music took over the 90s... but man, what a last stand that was!

Here's one of our favorite tracks from this album that's literally "all killers - no fillers" and overall probably the best single Heavy Metal album ever recorded.

If you want to show someone what classic Heavy Metal is - just show them Painkiller.

Dragony hat geschrieben:Today, we have some sad news to share with you guys: Andreas is leaving Dragony.
Over the past two years, we have all faced considerable challenges, not only because of Covid, but also because of many changes in our private lives. After long months of deliberation, it has unfortunately become increasingly clear that due to these changes and increasing commitments in his personal and private life, it will no longer be possible for Andreas to invest the required time and dedication in all things Dragony, and we have therefore come to the realisation that it will be necessary to therefore make some changes in Dragony as well.
As one of the OGs of Dragony, one of the original founding members, Andi has been instrumental in shaping the sound and songwriting of Dragony for 15 years, and has written some of our most beloved songs that still are part of our live set to this day, such as "Shadowrunners", "Defenders" or "Vaults of Heaven". We recorded four albums and one EP together, went on tours together, and played shows and festivals all over the world together. Whenever others in the band were going a bit too much overboard with their personalities, Andi was always the voice of reason, and a very reliable and trusted band member and friend. His constributions, both on stage and off stage, will be sorely missed.
Please find Andi's statement in his own words below:
"Hi friends!
Over the last 15 years I've had the pleasure and privilege to be part of an incredible journey. What started as a little jam session back in the days soon became so much more, it became a big and very important part of my life. But personal circumstances have changed quite a bit for me as well in the last couple of years. On top of that we all know that also the world has changed significantly over the last two years. Fuck the worldwide Covid lockdown and resulting cancellation of nearly every single opportunity of playing live. I'm pretty sure this goes for everyone when I say that playing live on stage was (and is) simply the best thing that comes with the job. At least that's my experience. And I do miss that quite a bit. But the uncertainty of how Covid related things will turn out in the near future is something I cannot ignore.
This results in me not being able to give 100% for Dragony anymore, which is just a no go for me and doesn't reflect my personality. So given all that, I've come to the conclusion that it is time for me to say goodbye. Goodbye to Dragony and goodbye to you (whoever reads these lines). This sounds way more dramatic than it should...
There are no hard feelings whatsoever and I sincerely do wish Dragony all the best for the future. There are still many battles to fight and dragons to be slain.
Andi out."
The remaining Dragony guys thank Andi for 15 years of dedication and friendship, and also wish him all the best for this new stage in his personal and professional life - and we're quite sure it won't be the absolute last thing you (or we) have ever heard from Andi on a music level!
And make sure to stay tuned - we will introduce our new guitarist in the coming days.
