"Matthew "Pilgrim" B. speaks,

The past few months have been very difficult for me. There has been a lot of self-reflection and agonizing over a very difficult choice, but after careful consideration I have decided to leave Funeral Circle. The performance for the Covenant Festival in Vancouver this June will be my last show with the band.

My reasons are numerous, but I assure you all that the split is amicable and I have given my bandmates my blessing and the option to continue without me. I believe this line-up is the strongest the band has ever had, and I'd hate to see it fade into obscurity.

I write this all with a heavy heart and writing these words has been an arduous undertaking. This band has been a big part of my life for almost a decade but despite that, I'm eager and excited to move forward and explore different musical avenues that will resonate more strongly with me.

I want to thank everyone who has been a part of Funeral Circle over the years and most importantly, those of you who found worth in our music by supporting us over the years.

I thank you all for believing in the integrity of this band and the music we've all created over the years. I'll never forget that.

Adieu."
